ADHD Through the Years: Challenges and Transitions

A Live CME/CNE Teleconference Series

Program Description
You are invited to participate in a CME/CNE teleconference titled ADHD Through the Years: Challenges and Transitions. During this 1-hour activity, expert faculty will discuss the manifestations and functional impact of ADHD in children, adolescents, and adults. Practical approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD will be reviewed, with an emphasis on strategies to recognize and address comorbidities and to tailor therapy to meet the needs of individual patients. Following a 45-minute presentation, participants will have the opportunity to participate in a 15-minute, live, interactive question and answer session.

Educational Methods
Each teleconference will consist of a live 45-minute presentation. Following the teleconference, there will be a 15-minute interactive question and answer session with the faculty. There is NO FEE for participating in this activity.

Each registrant may download a copy of the activity workbook on the bottom of this page. Registrants may request a printed workbook if unable to download.

Target Audience
The target audience for this activity is psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and other clinicians involved in the care of patients with ADHD.

Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the participants should be able to:

  • Discuss the changing symptomatology of ADHD from childhood through adulthood
  • Adjust pharmacologic treatment to best suit the needs of a given patient, depending on his/her age, comorbidities, lifestyle, and preferences
  • Implement strategies to overcome barriers to the recognition and effective treatment of adolescent and adult patients with ADHD

Accreditation Statement
The Center for Medical Knowledge, LLC (CMK), is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Statements
CMK designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The Center for Health Care Education, LLC (CHCE), is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This activity is available for up to 1.0 Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Contact Hour.

In addition, all other attendees will be issued a certificate of participation that lists the designated credits.
