Information
This activity will include breakfast, lunch, 9 live
lectures, and 4 question and answer sessions. All
participants will receive an activity workbook containing
a copy of the presentation slides. Tuition
is $100 and includes breakfast, lunch, and
refreshments throughout the day. All residents,
students, and trainees are FREE.

Statement
Neurologists manage numerous neurological
disorders such as headache disorders, epilepsy disorders,
neurodegenerative disorders, sleep disorders, cerebral
palsy, infections, neoplasms, movement disorders,
demyelinating diseases, spinal cord disorders, disorders
of the peripheral nerves, and traumatic injuries to
the brain, spinal cord, or nerves. The demand for
neurologists to remain up-to-date in numerous neurological
disorders is great. As a result, the CNS and CMK will
jointly sponsor the 30th Annual Neurology Symposium
to meet the educational needs of neurologists in Connecticut.

Audience
The target audience for this activity
is practicing neurologists, nurses, residents, students,
and other healthcare professionals involved in the
management of patients with neurological disorders.
Educational
Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the participants should
be able to:
- List existing and emerging treatments
for multiple sclerosis (MS) and Parkinson’s
disease (PD)
- Recognize MS as a neurodegenerative
disease and discuss the role of conventional and
nonconventional MRIs in its diagnosis
- Identify comorbidity concerns
for the patient with PD
- Review the current American Academy
of Neurology (AAN) guidelines on the detection,
diagnosis, and management of dementia and list current
and emerging treatments
- Discuss the role of neuroradiology
in the neurologist’s practice
